The most awaited Black Adam movie is finally going to get released on 21st October 2022 in the USA by Warner Bros. after being delayed by the Pandemic. The movie revolves around the antihero, Teth-Adam/Black Adam from Kahndaq. Being released after 5000 years of imprisonment, he becomes the arch-rival of Shazam.
He shares the powers derived from the ancient wizard of the same name and was described as a “Wrong Choice” by the wizard in the first Shazam movie. Adam had the same powers as Shazam but became corrupted by his power and killed people on a massive scale.
To the excitement of the fans, the recent movie trailer revealed the Justice Society with some new DC characters added to the storyline. Teth-Adam/Black Adam
Character Portrayed by: Dwayne Johnson
Black Adam is the anti-hero portrayed by Dwayne Johnson who was the hero of mankind at first. He became the ruler of Kahndaq because of his bravery and the divine powers bestowed on him by the wizards. This power later on corrupted him and he mistakenly unleashed the Seven Deadly Sins that resulted in the massive killing of the people after his family’s death.
Shazam, the wizard banishes him and he becomes Black Adam. After 5,000 years of imprisonment, Black Adam gets released in modern times with all his superpowers like superspeed and strength, superhuman reflexes, longevity, and so on.
Albert “Al” Rothstein / Atom Smasher
Character Portrayed by: Noah Centineo
He is one of the founding members of the Justice Society of America and can manipulate his molecular structure and get enhanced speed, size and strength. Atom Smasher got his power from his grandfather while they were in a fight. He gets an extraordinary amount of strength and wears a variation of the suit that looks like the one worn by Atom.
He is aggressive, vindictive, and has a bit of a bossy attitude but he is very sincere to the League and the people he works with. With the same views about serving justice and killing evil people, the Black Adam and Atom Smasher might be seen getting along well together.
Carter Hall / Hawkman
Character Portrayed by: Aldis Hodge
In modern times, Carter Hall is the reincarnation of an old Egyptian prince named Khufu who enslaved Black Adam and is now the leader of the JSA. His superpowers include flight and the ability to have wings made of the Nth element. He takes over the hawk-themed persona and is immortal. He has been roaming around the earth in different eras and incarnated several times. He carries an ancient weapon to take down enemies.
No matter how good at heart, Hawkman becomes ruthless in battle. He has some other special abilities like being able to breathe underwater, the wisdom and knowledge that dates back a thousand years, etc. He can communicate with different animal species and is an expert in using weapons like axes, maces, and others.
Kent Nelson / Doctor Fate:
Character Portrayed by: Pierce Brosnan
Kent Nelson is the first Doctor Fate who is the master of the art of sorcery and bears the Helmet of Fate. He discovered the tomb of Nabu along with his father. Nabu was a cosmic being having connections with the Lords of Order and raised Kent’s abilities and skills in the art of magic.
He is the first mortal host of Nabu who regains control of his body and receives the mystical amulet of Lords of Order, the Helmet of Fate, and cloak before he begins his superhero career. He is also one of the founding members of JSA.
Adrianna Tomaz / Isis:
Character Portrayed by: Sarah Shahi
Isis was an Egyptian refugee sold into slavery and was presented to Black Adam in his ancient life. Black Adam falls in love with her. She receives an ancient amulet with Shazam’s magic that grants her the ability to control the elements of nature. She sets out to alter the course of history and locate her brother named Amon who is wheelchair-bound. Black Adam grants him some of his powers and he becomes the great Orisis.
The characters did not receive much attention in the movie because of their apparent similarity with the terrorist organization ISIS. However, the two characters are of great importance when it comes to the Black Adam and JSA.
Maxine Hunkel / Cyclone
Character Portrayed by: Quintessa Swindell
Maxine Hunkel AKA Cyclone is a member of the JSA who gets her powers when a scientist kidnaps her at a very young age and injected her with Nanobytes to create Red Tornado. She took her time to master her abilities and learned to manipulate the wind and turn them into wind blasts, whirlwinds and glide in the air using bursts of wind. She also uses her abilities to deflect incoming items in other directions.

In the end, one can say that the Black Adam movie is going to be a blast with a plethora of different other characters that will increase the excitement of the fans. These characters include Sabbac, Amon, Shazam, etc. who is the leader of the Council of Wizards and the wizard who granted powers to Billy Batson in the first Shazam movie.
