David LeRoy Anderson is an American makeup artist who has won two Academy Awards for Best Makeup, the first for the film The Nutty Professor at the 69th Academy Awards, and the second for Men in Black at the 70th Academy Awards. He received his third Oscar nomination for the film Cinderella Man at the 2005 Academy Awards, which he shared with his father, Lance Anderson.

David LeRoy Anderson is married to Heather Langenkamp, who is well known for her role in A Nightmare on Elm Street, and the couple owns AFX Firm, a visual effects studio. The couple shares two siblings Daniel and Isabelle. Their son Daniel Anderson died of brain cancer on January 10, 2018, at the age of 26.

Heather Langenkamp, an American actress, writer, director, producer, and prosthetic makeup coordinator, was born on July 17, 1964. She is well-known in pop culture for her scream queen roles and frequent work in the horror genre. Langenkamp began her acting career as an extra in Francis Ford Coppola’s The Outsiders and Rumble Fish (both released in 1983).

Fighting Brain Cancer
His son, Atticus was 20 years old when he was diagnosed with brain cancer. A loved one said, “He lived with joy and intensity, bringing laughter, friendliness, and an easy smile.”
In 2016, he and his soulmate, Lina Bardovi, restored a van and set off to explore America’s backroads. Atticus enjoyed the American terrain and felt incredibly liberated when he was able to live off of it. Atticus enjoyed adventures in eight countries, twenty states, and three trips to Burning Man during his lifetime. His final days were spent with the people he cared about the most. Camping vacations, dart competitions, Dodger games, delectable meals, strong coffee, and music filled the months with everlasting memories.
