Anime is a genre that has one of the most hardcore fans. None can beat them when it comes to loyalty and passion towards their favorite show. Anime has evolved through the years. To know more about anime history and evolution, visit comicbento.com. This is proved when people are found still waiting for the second season of a show that aired five years ago. We are talking about Monster Musume. Commonly known as Everyday life with monster girls is an anime series that was adapted from a manga series of the same name.
It first aired on 7 July 2015 and ended in September of the same year. It was received very well by the audience, which is again evident from the fact that people already started, and are still, rooting for the second season. The show is based on a premise that the Japanese government has kept the existence of liminal, such as centaurs and mermaids, etc, a secret from the rest of the world.
Now, after three years of them releasing the information to the public, there exists an Interspecies Cultural Exchange Act. According to this act, members of the liminal community come and live with humans to promote harmony among both of the species. There are also some boundaries such as both the species cannot harm each other or cannot engage in procreation.
The protagonist of the show, Kimihito Kurusu, lands in a pickle when an exchange member of the liminal, Miia, stands on his door. He did not take part in the exchange program but Kruko Smith delivered her to his door and he did not have the guts to say no to a person full of fear and shame.
This is only the beginning for the poor guy as liminal just start landing at his house. Some come by accident, some are forced down by Smith while some simply force themselves in. They all end up living in the same house, much to Kurusu’s frustration. He has to help all of them get by in the human world and also to deal with their advances towards him.
He finds it quite tiring and frustrating but being a nice guy at heart, he keeps going on. The situation takes a twist when he is alerted that he has to marry one of the liminal to see the effects of procreation between humans and liminal. The girls become more competitive and start fighting for their attention. Other girls from outside the house also start jumping in seeking the same as the housemates, making the embarrassment for Kurusu and housemates’ frustration double. The show is a hilarious ride of goofy situations.
