Whilst we can breathe a collective sigh of relief knowing that the year is ending on a good note and things are back to (the new) normal, and most of us are planning our holiday festivities with glee, some of us are already looking forward to the summer and enjoying the warmth of the sun once again.

The summer season is just a few months away, after all, and it’ll be here before we know it. But if you’re planning to welcome the summer in style with a summer party or event, there are a lot of things you can do to liven it up and make it extra spectacular and memorable. So if you’d like to know how to amp up your summer party or event, here are some excellent ideas to boost your planning.

If you and your friends or family are certified night owls and would like nothing more than to enjoy one particular summer evening and have a blast, why not throw a neon evening summer party? It’s perfect if you’d like to dance the night away with a whole glow-in-the-dark extravaganza, and dancing under the light of the moon never sounded so awesome.

If you’re holding your event or party in a venue with a pool, you could combine the two to make for a truly brilliant event. Of course, for the best neon evening ever, you would need plenty of party lights, glow sticks, refreshments, and a good set of speakers so everyone can party through the night. Set up a painting station with glow-in-the-dark paint where guests can paint neon patterns on themselves (and each other!) and pose for amazing photos to make it even more thrilling.

  • A summer tea party

Summer tea parties are excellent for bridal showers and baby showers, but there’s no stopping you from having a summer tea party as a corporate event, either. The focus here is to make your event Instagrammable, and you can do so with elegant décor that’s sure to make your guests ooh and ahh with delight. For your summer tea party, you could take advantage of delectable goodies from your local bakery or pie shop, and it’s easy to find stunning décor at thrift shops and vintage shops. You can even rent outdoor furniture for the day and fill the venue with fresh flowers as fabulous centrepieces.

  • A carnival or funfair

Carnivals or funfairs are brilliant for corporate family fun days and even weddings and birthday parties, and it’s an event that welcomes both young and old. For this, you can turn to a funfair stall for hire expert, where you can choose from some amazing attractions and side stalls.

If you have the budget for it, you can even opt to include a ride or two (the more thrilling, the better!) and serve – what else? – funfair food such as popcorn, candy floss, ice cream, hot dogs, and other funfair delights. Don’t forget the drinks as well – and you can serve hot or cold beverages, sodas, lemonades, and lots of cider and beer.

There are plenty of other ideas to make your summer party even better, from hiring a boat to planning a picnic to hosting an outdoor film night, and you’re guaranteed to have the best summer party ever.
