Thomas James Kenny was born in East Syracuse village, New York, United States on the 13th day of July 1962. He is the son of Paul Austin Kenny and Theresa Kenny.
He got acquainted with Bobcat Goldthwait who became his lifetime best friend. Together they ventured their interests and an open-mic night ad marked the beginning of their monikers which is a homage to Crimmins.
