Alfred Charles Sharpton, popularly known as Al Sharpton is a man of many characters. He is an American rights activist, a veteran Baptist minister, an active politician, and also a host, born on 3rd October 1954. Being the founder of the national action network, he was nominated for the US presidential election by the people.

In Brooklyn, New York City, Sharpton was conceived by Ada Richards and Alfred Charles Sharpton. His family is from the line of South Indigenous people called ‘Cherokee.’ Being a religious man, he was a member of the clergy at the age of four and toured with the famous gospel singer Mahalia Jackson.
At a young age of 9, his father divorced his mother to live with his half-sister. After this incident, Sharpton had a financial breakdown, and his mother Ada had to work as a maid.
