Milton Augustine Williams Jr was the father of American actress, singer, and fashion designer Vanessa Williams. He was born on October 10, 1935, in Oyster Bay, Nassau County, New York, United States of America, to Milton Augustine Williams Sr and Iris Carl.
In his personal life, Milton Augustine Williams Jr married Helen Williams in 1960. His wife was a music teacher who taught in Ossining for over 30 years; she was also an author.
Milton and Helen remained married until the latter died in 2003. Besides, their beautiful marriage gave rise to two amazing people, Vanessa Williams, a singer, and actress, and Chris Williams, an actor known for his appearance in Dodgeball.
His Early Life and Educational Background
Growing up, Milton Williams Jr was a music lover; he played saxophone in high school, and his parents were so supportive. Regarding his education, Milton studied at Oyster Bay High School before joining Fredonia College to pursue a degree in music education. Milton furthered his education by enrolling for a master’s degree in music at Columbia University.

Milton Williams Jr was a music teacher at Alice E. Grady Elementary School, where he taught for over four decades. He also held the principal assistant position while he taught at the institution. As a music teacher, he had to pass the skills to his students and his daughter; he taught her how to play the piano and a French horn.
Milton believed that one was obliged to pass down whatever one knows and teach the other person how to be independent, which is why he was obligated to help his daughter and students.

His Death and Burial
Milton Augustine Williams Jr was on vacation with his wife in the Bahamas when he fell ill; he was admitted to the hospital and diagnosed with an acute pancreatic infection. He died on January 17, 2006, two days after his admission to the hospital. Milton was 70 years old when he died.
His burial was conducted according to Catholic beliefs, and she was interred at Pine Hollow Cemetery in Oyster Bay, New York.
