Su-Won: Su-won was Yona’s first love and her first cousin. Su won promised always to protect yona and never leave her side. All this changed after he killed Yona’s father for the throne. He later throws Yona and hak out of the castle.

Four dragons have the power to control the magnificent four elements of the atmosphere, namely water, earth, sky, and fire. Initially, Yona is portrayed as a carefree princess. However, after her father’s brutal killing, she transforms into a strong woman ready to battle against any evil.

This anime series has a blend of various cultures of Japan, China, and Korea. The tale of Yona and the fictional kingdom walks you through the journey of a spoiled princess turning into a responsible and powerful warrior princess.

She sets her heart on her childhood crush, best friend Hak, and is determined to marry him. After Su-won killed her father and snatched away the throne from Yona, she begins her journey to find skillful warriors to protect the legacy of her father the proper way. After learning how Hiryuu, the first king of Kouka along with dragons, once unified the kingdom of kouke, Yona and Hak embark upon a journey of redemption accompanied by Yun, Ik-Su’s assistant.

Due to the sheer popularity of the anime series, Mizuho Kusanagi is back to work on other volumes of the series. Shinichi Inotsume, the scriptwriter, writes this venturesome series. However, we do not have any official status for season 2 of Akatsuki, aka Yona of the Dawn.

An American artist known as Monica Rial gives the voice over for the leading role of Yona. Ayahi Takagak and Tomoaki Maeno in Japanese.
